{"id":3195,"date":"2020-09-03T17:05:32","date_gmt":"2020-09-03T17:05:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/research.american.edu\/careworkeconomy\/?page_id=3195"},"modified":"2022-03-09T15:27:44","modified_gmt":"2022-03-09T15:27:44","slug":"rethinking-macroeconomics","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/research.american.edu\/careworkeconomy\/rethinking-macroeconomics\/","title":{"rendered":"RETHINKING MACROECONOMICS"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>ABOUT RETHINKING MACROECONOMICS<\/h2>\n<p>The Rethinking Macroeconomics Working Group is bringing gender dimensions into macroeconomic models, particularly in the case of care provisioning.\u00a0 Researchers in the Rethinking Macroeconomics Cluster are working to modify existing macroeconomic models (e.g. overlapping generations, Keynesian, and Post-Keynesian models) to incorporate unpaid and paid care of children, the sick, disabled and the elderly in order to examine gendered impacts of specific economic policies on employment, inequality, and growth.
