Ana Maria Tribin is Senior Economist in the Research Unit at Central Bank of Colombia. She previously worked as the President´s High Commissioner for Women’s Equality with the Colombian Government, where she oversaw the chapter to promote gender equality included in the National Development Plan (2018-2022) and approved by the congress as a bill. Her research interests include gender economics, political economy and development. She has published articles in journals such as World Development, Feminist Economics and the Journal of the European Economic Association. Previously, she was a visiting scholar at American University’s Program on Gender Analysis in Economics. She has taught courses on political economy, growth and gender economics at multiple universities in Colombia, including Universidad Javeriana, Universidad de los Andes, and Del Rosario University. She holds a Ph.d. and M.A. in economics from Brown University and a B.S. and M.A. from Universidad Javeriana.
