Praveena Bandara

Praveena Bandara serves as a Research Assistant for the Care Work and the Economy Project. She is currently a Ph.D. student in Economics at American University. Her research focuses on international trade and development macroeconomics. She is also starting an advocacy fellowship this summer with the United Nations Association for the National Capital Area, and hopes to write about the challenges faced by working women of developing countries due to globalization. Praveena holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka.
