Levi Altringer

Levi Altringer is a PhD Candidate in Economics at Colorado State University in Fort Collins where he also received a master’s degree in Economics. His research interests include stratification economics, the political economy of race and gender, social reproduction, applied microeconomics, and public economics. Recently he has been investigating the role of social reproduction in economic growth as well as the role of care-related social policy in attenuating the procyclicality of child mortality. His dissertation work seeks to better understand the role of mass incarceration in generating and perpetuating racial inequality within local labor markets across the US.
