Bong Sun (Regina) Seo

Bong Sun (Regina) Seo is a PhD student in Economics at American University. She is specializing in applied microeconomics in the fields of labor and development. For this project, she will conduct fieldwork and analysis based in Korea and Washington DC. In particular, she is working on survey development, literature review, and interviewing care centers.

Before starting her PhD, Ms. Seo worked as a consultant for the Gender Innovation Lab (GIL) at the World Bank for 2 years. While at GIL, she cleaned and analyzed data for an impact evaluation of adolescent girls’ programs in Liberia. She also worked on evaluating the effectiveness of government support for social enterprises at Results for Development, a nonprofit organization.

Ms. Seo holds an MA in economics from Georgetown University and a BA in economics and mathematics from Emory University. She speaks English, Korean and Chinese.
